Such an elegantly simple statement. And yet, it is our life’s work to achieve these things––an easeful body and a peaceful mind.
Longevity Yoga™ is a deeply therapeutic form of yoga, drawing from the best of ancient wisdom and modern science.
We practice to restore the nervous system & activate the body's self-healing abilities, releasing long-held restrictions that trap our bodies as well as our minds, moods, and hearts.
We practice to improve and maintain excellent mobility, vitality, bone density, and quality of life, to prevent injury and recover from it, and to slow the aging process. The practices are slow and gentle while also deep and powerful. We learn to listen to our bodies—which are always letting us know what we need.

Fluid Fitness™ is a practice that draws from many therapeutic movement disciplines, including Pilates. And it is informed by my 20+ years as a massage therapist.

It is a fun practice to massage and hydrate the whole body, release myofascial adhesions (stuck places), decompress the joints, build bone density, and tone the core without strain--honoring your body where it is each day, not trying to mold you into some "perfect" shape. We practice to prevent and recover from injury. The result is a stronger, more limber, fluid, happy body.
Because of this practice, I have actually gained height instead of losing it at this age!
We use the unique OPTP Soft Density foam roller, a Pilates Overball, a Yoga Tuneup ball, and a Pilates Ring.
I never stop discovering new ways to use these incredibly versatile, comfortable, and therapeutic tools.

In my 60+ years, I’ve learned a lot about what works, and what doesn’t.
I have spent many of these years studying, practicing & teaching yoga, movement arts, mindfulness, holistic living, nutrition, herbal medicine, and manual therapies—as ways to activate, support, and honor the body-mind’s self-healing abilities. To live well in our bodies, and in the world.
My approach is to blend the best of ancient wisdom and modern science––a lifelong study––to support quality of life for modern humans, while acknowledging that we are each unique and therefore have a unique path to wholeness. Maybe you’ll find that my approach resonates with you.
I share Wisdom & Love with you in several ways: I sprinkle my weekly classes with information about how your body works to encourage self-knowledge, self-love, & self-empowerment (while having fun); I offer occasional online events, and I share it in my blog posts.
To learn more about me and my journey, see the blog post, Mia's Story. And while you're there, look through the rest of the blog posts for more insight, wisdom & love on nutrition, anatomy, self-care and mindfulness, as tools for graceful and empowered aging. I'm always adding more as new research sheds light on best practices.
