Because you have 24/7 access to each week's class videos, you can tailor your practice to meet your unique scheduling needs and practice as often as you like during the week, at any time.
Practice together for the price of one! I'm not saying invite the neighbors, but household members are welcome whether partners, roommates, children, or even an out of town guest.
When you can attend live, I love having you! When it doesn't work for you, I love knowing that you are getting your needs met by practicing with the video--whether you're having a busy week or are out of town. Anywhere you have wifi and some props, you can take your class.

I encourage you to try at least one of each and see what you think! Some students take one, some the other, some take both, and some alternate by the week or the month. They are very complimentary classes, entering the body through different doorways. Plus, the body thrives on a balance between predictability and variety, so it's good to "cross-train."

In general, Longevity Yoga™ is slower and gentler (while being deep and powerful), and Fluid Fitness™ is more lively and active. For both classes, I offer different ways to work with a position or movement to accommodate everyone's needs. After all, we are each unique with unique histories and bodies. There are lots of options: I like to say practicing 3x/week is the magic number, for the body to take the lessons in deeply towards sustaining positive change.
Pay attention to your body’s cues. Some days may call for a gentle flow, while others allow for more lively sequences. Adapt your practice to your physical and mental state, fostering a mindful connection with yourself.
Some like to attend the live class and repeat the full practice 2 more times during the week. But you can repeat just the parts of the video that especially call to you that week. Or you can do the 1st half of the video one day, the 2nd half another day. Or doing 10 minutes per day, in between full-length classes. And mixing it with other activities such as walking, swimming, hiking, cycling, dancing––whatever you enjoy––is always recommended.
Adding therapeutic baths, cold rinses, cold packs, or cold plunge, herbal teas, organic herbal lotions and balms, and receiving massage therapy––all of these self-care practices will add up to a healthier, happier body. And a healthier, happier you!

These are all props I've carefully curated over years of experimentation.
A good home practice space makes for a good practice! There are so many ways to find and create a good space--both for taking live classes online as well as working with the video on your own. My blog post Creating a Home Practice Sanctuary will give you lots of ideas to inspire you!
No, you will not. Your privacy is assured. On the rare occasion that you might unmute yourself during class, you will show up on the video. If this is unwanted, I can edit it out.
When you take a live class with me, you will be able to see all the other students who are attending live during the class, and they can see you. But the recorded video you'll have for a week only shows me.
For live classes, please have your camera positioned so that you can be seen the whole time, which may require adjusting the screen angle a time or two during the class. I like to see how each of you are doing, to see if I might offer some guidance if needed (and to enjoy your company).
But know also, that while I love to see you during a live class, you are always welcome to turn off your camera on a day that you're just not feeling up to being seen.
Technology Troubleshooting: If a video doesn't work for you the first time, try 1). clicking on the thumbnail at the very bottom of the email instead; 2). closing all other open tabs; 3). restarting your computer; 4). using another browser (i.e., switching from Safari to Chrome or vice versa); 5). and/or clearing out your cache (cookies).
And when taking a live class, always best to have Zoom set up at least 5 minutes early to allow for time to work out any kinks. Sometimes people need to close it out and re-open to get it to work properly.
It often happens that one person has an issue that no one else experiences. Technology is a mysterious thing! It keeps us humble, doesn't it?
